CANAVUA's Driver Training Program

Our professional interpreter, Renaud Lessard, helping to train new drivers during CANAVUA 's Driver Training course. Introduction Since 2014, Canadian Volunteers United in Action ( Association des volontaires unis dans l'action au Canada , or CANAVUA) has offered a Driver Training course in French in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Initially funded by the Alberta Traffic Safety Fund ( Alberta Transportation, Government of Alberta ) and now supported by the Edmonton Community Adult Learning Association ( ECALA , in collaboration with the Ministry of Advanced Education ), this program has helped to date more than 1,400 people obtain their Class 7 driver's licenses and remains incredibly popular to this day. Taught by a Abraham Tsegaye, a certified driving instructor with Global Driving School , and translated by Renaud Lessard, a professional French-English interpreter, our class is a very useful tool for members of the Francophone community who wish to prepare for the

Success Stories from CANAVUA's Driver Training Class (January 2018)

One of our students holds up her newly obtained learner's license after taking CANAVUA's driver training class. Every month, between 15 and 20 people receive their learner's licenses thanks to CANAVUA's Driver Training program. The first class of 2018 took place on Saturday, January 20 th at La Cité Francophone. For many of the students, the day was a smashing success! Below is a video showing highlights of the day. Le Cours de conduite de CANAVUA

Notre interprète professionnel, Renaud LESSARD, offre de la formation de base à la conduite pendant le cours de conduite de CANAVUA . Introduction Depuis 2014, Canadian Volunteers United in Action ( Association des volontaires unis dans l'action au Canada - CANAVUA en sigle) offre un cours de conduite en langue française aux personnes francophones à Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Financé comme projet pilote par Alberta Traffic Safety Fund ( Alberta Transportation , Gouvernement de l'Alberta ) et maintenant par Edmonton Community Adult Learning Association ( ECALA , en partenariat avec le Ministère de l'Éducation supérieure ), ce programme a aidé plus de 1.400 personnes d'expression française à obtenir leur permis de conduire apprenti (Classe 7) et connaît jusqu'à ce jour une très grande popularité.
