Every April, Canada celebrates National Volunteer Week to thank the more than 13 million Canadians who volunteer every year. This year, National Volunteer Week takes place from April 19^th-25^th, 2020.

Did you know that more than a third of all Canadians – and more than half of all Albertans – volunteer every year? Volunteering is a fundamental Canadian value; it is at the heart of our very identify.

Thanks to the extraordinary efforts of our more than 950 volunteers, CANAVUA served more than 500 individuals and families and 25 partner organizations in 2019. We expect to have just as big an impact in 2020!

Every non-profit organization relies on volunteers to fulfill its mandate and serve its diverse clientele. CANAVUA is proud to recruit, train and dispatch more than 100 new volunteers every year. Thanks to all our volunteers, our communities are more enriched and vibrant than ever before.

Giving freely of one’s time is at the core of who we are as Canadians. National Volunteer Week 2020 is a time to thank every volunteer who does so much to make our community a better place.
