Receive Free, Weekly Hot Meals by Home Delivery

 

CANAVUA is very pleased to offer free hot meals to all Edmontonians in need, prepared by volunteers in our new community food truck. Photo credit: CTV Edmonton.

We're very pleased to announce that our food truck is now up and running on the streets of Edmonton! Everyone is invited to receive a free hot meal from our food truck once a week. It is our mission to serve hot, healthy and culturally appropriate foods to people in need in our city.

Given the importance of social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic, we're also happy to inform clients that our volunteers will deliver your meals to your home upon request. Please be sure to provide us your address and phone number!

Registering for this service is very easy: all you have to do is fill out our meal request form once a week. The link is:

This link will never change. We therefore advise you to memorize and bookmark it. You may also find it on our website.

When you fill out the form, please be sure to indicate whether you'd prefer to come to our food truck in person to pick up your meals or receive a home delivery. We're happy to accommodate either preference. You will also be given a selection of dates (between Wednesday and Friday each week to begin with - more days of the week, including Monday, will be added as the program expands), from which you should choose one.

For the time being, our food truck will operate twice a week at different locations in Edmonton (we'll set up our food truck in the parking lot). The weekly itinerary is as follows:

The food service will begin at noon on both days. Volunteers should arrive 15 minutes beforehand, at 11:45 A.M., to begin preparing.

Working closely with SheGlows Society, our volunteers will mainly serve Afro-Fusion cuisine. If you wish to receive weekly meal deliveries from CANAVUA, feel free to sign up right away!
